Georgian Gold Natural Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring

An unusual and highly decorative Georgian ring dating to the late 18th century, set with a principal natural ruby and a principal pear-shaped diamond within an asymmetrical cluster of additional rubies and diamonds. The design has a distinctly hand-made quality, with closed-back style construction and a lively arrangement of mixed antique stones that is very typical of early Georgian jewellery.
