What sellers say

It was an absolute delight dealing with Faustus. I had a collection of silver and silver plated objects that I had no further use for. I emailed Faustus and sent pictures. He responded very promptly and gave me his opinion on the value. Various emails followed and at no time did I feel pressured. Once he had possession of the items he gave a further precise value and a deal was struck. He was very efficient, quick to respond, informative and professional. I would have no hesitation in dealing with him again in the future.

Faustus was very polite and made me feel welcome. I felt I had an honest appraisal and was happy to sell my silver. I left feeling I had not been pressurised or ripped off. Fast payment. Recommend. Would use again.

Questions

Is it safe to send silver by post?

Yes. FedEx and Royal Mail Special Delivery both track your parcel to our door, and it is signed for. Every parcel is covered by our own insurance up to £10,000 from the moment it leaves you until it reaches us, so you do not need to buy extra cover.

Does it cost anything to post silver to you?

No. The FedEx collection from your home is free. If you send it by Royal Mail Special Delivery instead, we refund the postage in full, whether or not you sell. Keep your receipt and send us the tracking number.

Should I polish my silver first?

No. Tarnish does no harm, and polishing can wear away the marks. Wrap each piece on its own and keep lids and loose parts with their piece.

How do I know my silver is real?

Look for hallmarks: a lion, a town mark, a date letter, or a number such as 925. If you are not sure, send us a photograph of the marks and we will tell you before you post anything.

When do I get paid?

We let you know as soon as your parcel arrives, inspect each item and send you our offer. Accept and you are paid the same day by bank transfer. There is no obligation.

What if I decline the offer?

We return everything to you at our cost, tracked and signed for. There is no fee and no obligation at any stage.
