At the 78th Primetime Emmys in September, Colman Domingo, Emma D'Arcy, Noah Kahan and Louisa Jacobson all wore brooches on suited looks, and E! News named the brooch the red carpet accessory of 2026. E! also listed brooch moments at the Oscars and the Met Gala earlier in the year.
Why antique brooches fit the moment
The look is one piece, worn boldly on a lapel or collar. Victorian and Edwardian brooches, Art Deco clips and signed pieces from the great jewellery houses were made for exactly that, and many have sat unworn in family jewellery boxes for decades.
