UK-wide

London, Essex & sellers across the UK

Our private rooms are in Mayfair, London and Braintree, Essex. If you are not local, most people begin with photographs and then use Royal Mail Special Delivery or a FedEx collection we can arrange — insured options are available up to £10,000. We regularly work with clients from Manchester, Birmingham, Scotland, Wales and throughout the UK.

We also buy estate, probate and pre-owned jewellery when pieces call for a period or gemstone specialist rather than a general buyer. The same senior team handles every enquiry, with discretion whether you have a single heirloom or a larger collection.

The Mozeris difference

Trusted UK antique jewellery buyers

Serious valuations for people who want clarity — not a scrap counter. We look at cutting style, setting and period as well as metal and stone quality. Below is a snapshot of the eras and workmanship we see most often.

What we buy

Jewellery types & eras

From a single heirloom to an executor’s tray, we assess rings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, earrings, lockets, pendants, bangles, tiaras, cufflinks and more. The summaries below group the periods and styles we buy most often.

Rings & clusters Brooches & pins Necklaces & chains Lockets & pendants Bracelets & bangles Diamond & gem-set Mourning & memorial Engagement & wedding Cocktail & target rings Line & diamond bracelets Signet rings Tiaras & hair combs Cufflinks & dress sets Clip & drop earrings

Georgian jewellery

Georgian pieces are assessed for originality and condition: cluster and memorial rings, diamond and gold bands, necklaces, pendants, lockets, bracelets, bangles, brooches, drop and stud earrings, and occasional tiaras. Mourning and memorial jewellery from this period is a particular strength.

Victorian jewellery

The Victorian era covers a wide range — engagement and wedding rings, gem-set rings in diamond, sapphire, ruby and emerald, gold and silver mounts, necklaces, lockets, bracelets, bar brooches, mourning and jet pieces, snake and serpent motifs, tiaras, and cluster earrings among many other forms.

Edwardian jewellery

Edwardian work often means platinum filigree, garland necklaces, pearl pendants, diamond line bracelets, bow and bar brooches, and delicate drop and pearl earrings. Engagement and cluster rings in platinum and gold are routinely assessed.

Art Nouveau jewellery

We purchase rings and pendants with enamelling, opals and flowing natural forms; bracelets, bangles and brooches including dragonfly and floral subjects; and the lockets and drop earrings typical of the period.

Art Deco jewellery

Strong demand remains for geometric rings — engagements, cocktails, clusters and targets — with sapphire, emerald, ruby, aquamarine, onyx and diamond in platinum and gold; line bracelets; bold brooches; clip and drop earrings; cufflinks and dress sets.

Vintage & retro

We also buy mid-century and vintage pieces from the 1940s through the 1960s: cocktail rings, charm bracelets, brooches, clip earrings, cufflinks and well-made day-to-evening jewellery where design and materials hold up.

Metals, stones and motifs: we assess jewellery in gold, silver and platinum — from solitaire, three-stone, cluster and halo rings to engagement, wedding and eternity bands, signet rings and cufflinks. Necklaces, bracelets and brooches set with diamond, sapphire, ruby, emerald or pearl are common, as are tiaras, hair combs and hairpins. We also see sentimental and symbolic pieces — heart lockets, crosses, stars and crescents, buckle and floral rings, mourning jewellery and woven hair work — always handled with care.

Eras we specialise in: Georgian (1714–1837), Victorian (1837–1901), Edwardian (1901–1915), Belle Époque (c.1890–1915), Art Nouveau (c.1890–1910), Art Deco (c.1920–1939), plus selected earlier or later pieces when quality warrants a specialist route.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to what sellers ask us most often.

Where can I sell antique jewellery in London?

You can book a private appointment at our Mayfair office at 47 Maddox Street, London, W1S 2PG. We also serve clients across the UK through insured postal and collection options.

Do you buy antique jewellery by post?

Yes. You can post items via Royal Mail Special Delivery by dropping off at your local Post Office, or we can arrange a FedEx driver collection from your address.

How much insurance cover is available when posting?

Insured postage options are available up to £10,000. We confirm the best route before dispatch based on the item and declared value.

Who buys Victorian jewellery and Edwardian jewellery?

We buy both Victorian and Edwardian jewellery, including rings, brooches, lockets, bangles and diamond-set pieces, with valuation based on quality, period features and market demand.

How do I sell inherited antique jewellery?

Start with photos and any history you have. We provide a no-obligation initial assessment, then arrange inspection by appointment or insured shipping. This is a common route for inherited and probate-related pieces.

Do you only buy perfect condition pieces?

No. We also buy damaged or restored antique jewellery. Condition affects value, but many period pieces remain highly desirable despite age-related wear.

Can you value antique gold jewellery by more than scrap value?

Yes. Antique jewellery is often worth significantly more than metal value alone when craftsmanship, era, gemstones, rarity, or maker interest are strong.

Do you offer consignment if outright sale is not ideal?

For selected pieces, we can advise whether a direct purchase or a consignment-style route is likely to be more suitable based on value and market liquidity.

How quickly can the process be completed?

Initial responses are often same day. Once inspected, completion can be immediate with secure bank transfer where terms are agreed.

Is your service appointment-only?

Yes. Our Mayfair and Braintree services are appointment-only to ensure privacy, security and dedicated specialist time for each client.

Where should I sell antique jewellery in the UK?

Common routes are auction houses, general buyers and period specialists. Auction can suit rare pieces but involves timelines and fees; a specialist buyer can give a direct valuation with faster certainty. We explain how we reach a figure so you can compare options calmly.

What should I look for in a buyer?

Look for someone who reads era, stones and construction — not only metal weight — and who sets out terms clearly. Discretion, insured logistics and an appointment-based service matter when pieces are personal or high in value.

Can I start with photographs and details online?

Yes. Most clients begin by sending photographs through our form or WhatsApp. If a piece looks promising, we agree the next step: insured post, courier collection, or a private appointment for hands-on inspection.

I am in Manchester (or elsewhere outside London) — can you still help?

We do not have a showroom in Manchester, but we work with sellers across the North West and the rest of the UK every week. Insured post and FedEx collection are the usual routes; some clients prefer to travel to Mayfair for a private appointment.

Do you buy vintage and retro jewellery?

Yes, when design and quality justify a specialist look. We buy rings, bracelets, brooches and earrings from the 1940s through the 1960s as well as earlier periods. Use the same enquiry process as for antique pieces.

Do you buy Art Deco engagement rings and cocktail rings?

We regularly assess Art Deco engagement rings, cocktail rings, target rings, cluster rings and platinum diamond pieces. Condition, originality and stone quality drive the offer.

Do you buy Georgian and Victorian mourning jewellery?

Yes. Georgian mourning jewellery, Victorian mourning rings, mourning brooches, jet jewellery and related pieces are specialist categories we handle with care.

Do you buy Edwardian platinum, pearl and diamond bracelets?

Yes. Edwardian platinum rings, garland necklaces, pearl pendants, diamond line bracelets and delicate brooches are among the most common Edwardian items we see.

Do you buy estate jewellery and pre-owned jewellery?

Yes. Estate jewellery, pre-owned jewellery and second-hand jewellery are welcome when pieces are fine, period or designer-quality. Probate and executor enquiries are common.

Do you buy antique cufflinks, dress sets and tiaras?

Yes. We buy antique cufflinks, dress sets, tiaras, hair combs and hairpins where craftsmanship and materials justify a specialist sale.
