A lucky star for Dior
Christian Dior was known for his love of lucky charms and stars. Victoire de Castellane, Dior’s creative director of fine jewellery, turned that into Rose des Vents in 2014: an eight-pointed compass rose in gold with a diamond, on a round disc of mother-of-pearl or stone.

Whether a Rose des Vents piece holds its value comes down to the piece and its size, the disc material, the gold colour, any extra diamonds, its condition (chipped or scratched disc, worn gold), and whether you have the box and certificate. Is my Rose des Vents genuine?
Look on the back for a clean "Dior" signature, a serial on modern pieces and the 750 mark. The compass star should have crisp points and a neatly set diamond, and the disc should be smooth and flush. No single detail proves it. Send clear photographs of the front and back and we will check them, free.
Can I sell Rose des Vents without the box?
Yes. Many genuine Rose des Vents pieces have lost their box or certificate, and we buy them all the same. We check the piece itself: the signature, marks, star and disc. A certificate whose serial matches supports the value, but its absence never stops a sale.
