Patek dress pocket watches of the 1920s almost always carry plain applied gold or black Breguet numerals. This one has them in polychrome enamel, each figure filled in red, blue or green, set round a silvered ground with a sunk subsidiary seconds at six and a chemin de fer minute track. The case is plain and slim in the Art Deco manner, with a stepped bezel and a contrasting white bow. The movement is signed and numbered and struck twice with the Seal of Geneva, the quality mark then applied only to movements made and finished in the canton to the standard laid down in 1886. The inner back is engraved JUAN VILELLA ESTIVILL 29-VII-25, a Catalan name and a firm date for the watch.
