Yellowstone National Park silver dollar, a 1999 United States commemorative coin in 0.900 fine silver with the geyser picked out in 24 carat gold, struck for the park that began the national park movement.

Yellowstone was set aside by Congress on 1 March 1872 as the first national park in the world. It sits over a volcanic hotspot and holds about half of the planet's active geysers.

The obverse shows an erupting geyser. The reverse carries an American bison in the foreground with the sun rising over mountains behind. Surcharges from the issue were divided between Yellowstone and the wider National Park Service.
