Seoul 1988 Olympic silver dollar, a United States commemorative in 0.900 fine silver struck in proof at San Francisco for the Games of the XXIV Olympiad.
The coin was issued to raise funds for the United States Olympic Committee and the training of the American team for the Seoul Games.
The obverse by Patricia Lewis Verani and Sherl Joseph Winter shows the Olympic torch raised beside the torch of the Statue of Liberty, the two flames joined. The reverse by Winter carries the Olympic rings within a laurel wreath. The S mintmark marks the San Francisco proof issue.
