Robert F. Kennedy silver dollar, a 1998 United States commemorative coin in 0.900 fine silver with the portrait picked out in 24 carat gold, struck thirty years after his death.
Robert Kennedy served as Attorney General under his brother's administration and was elected senator for New York in 1964. He was shot in Los Angeles on 5 June 1968, hours after winning the California presidential primary, and died the following day.
The obverse portrait was modelled by Thomas D. Rogers, who worked with Ethel Kennedy on the likeness. The reverse sets an eagle above the Seal of the Department of Justice and the Seal of the United States Senate, the two offices he held, under the word Justice. Surcharges went to the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial.
