Queen Victoria Jubilee Head silver crown dated 1889, a British five shilling coin in 0.925 sterling silver struck by The Royal Mint.
The Jubilee coinage was introduced in 1887 for the fiftieth year of Victoria's reign and ran only to 1892, one of the shortest lived series in British silver.
The obverse carries the Jubilee bust by Joseph Edgar Boehm, the Queen veiled and wearing a small crown. The reverse is Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the dragon, cut for the coinage reform of 1816 and still in use on the sovereign today.
