Bucherer Opens Its First Rolex Boutique in France, in Paris
22 October 2026 · Mozeris Fine Antiques

The Rolex-owned retailer now runs a single-brand Rolex shop in one of Paris's best known luxury streets.

In short

Bucherer, the Swiss retailer that Rolex agreed to buy in 2023, has opened its first Rolex boutique in France, at 283 Rue Saint-Honoré on the corner of Rue Royale in Paris, according to Something About Rocks and WatchPro on 21 October 2026. The two-storey shop includes a room for Rolex Certified Pre-Owned watches.

The new boutique

Bucherer confirmed the opening on social media in the weekend before 21 October 2026, Something About Rocks reported. The shop sits at 283 Rue Saint-Honoré, at the corner of Rue Royale, close to Place de la Concorde and the Tuileries. According to WatchPro and Something About Rocks, it spans two floors, with a main floor for new Rolex watches, a dedicated Rolex Certified Pre-Owned room, private consultation areas and a hospitality bar.

WatchPro billed it as France's first Rolex flagship. Something About Rocks noted that it is not the first single-brand Rolex shop in the country: Maison Lassaussois opened one in Paris in 2007. It is, though, the first Rolex boutique in France run by Bucherer.

Why it matters: Rolex closer to its own customers

Rolex agreed to acquire Bucherer in 2023, and Bucherer continues to operate as an independently managed business within the Rolex group. Something About Rocks said the Paris opening gives Rolex "a more directly controlled retail presence" in one of the city's key luxury districts. Bucherer already had a large multi-brand shop on Boulevard des Capucines, opened in 2013, and a Tudor boutique on the Champs-Élysées earlier this year.

The opening came at a difficult moment for Paris retail, with cost-of-living protests and looting in the city in October, Something About Rocks reported.

A boutique sells the newest watches. The rest of a Rolex's life is lived on the pre-owned market.

What it means for UK buyers and sellers

The Certified Pre-Owned room is the telling detail. Rolex's own pre-owned programme, run through official retailers, has made paperwork and provenance more central than ever. For anyone buying or selling a Rolex in Britain, outside the boutique system, the same things decide how a watch is received:

Papers and box. The original warranty card or certificate, and the box, matter a great deal for modern references.

Originality. Original dial, hands, bezel and bracelet. Replacement parts change how a watch is regarded, especially on vintage models.

Service history. Recent servicing, with receipts, reassures any buyer.

Condition. Light wear is expected; heavy polishing that softens the case lines is not welcome.
