An antique silver-gilt round box, the lid set with a medal of Catherine the Great depicted as Minerva, Patroness of the Arts. The medal is signed “Wæchter” after a portrait by I.B. Gass, with a Cyrillic inscription “B.M. Ekaterina II Imperatritsa I samoderzhitsa Vserossiiskoi,” referencing her accession to the throne on 28 June 1762.
