Coronation Jubilee five pound crown dated 2003, struck by The Royal Mint for the fiftieth anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953, sixteen months after her accession, in the first coronation to be televised.
The reverse by Tom Phillips sets the words God Save The Queen in an interlocking lettered design that fills the field, ringed by Five Pounds and Coronation Jubilee. The obverse carries the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of the Queen in the same lettered treatment.
