Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary silver dollar, the Founding Father design, a 2006 United States commemorative coin in 0.900 fine silver with the portrait picked out in 24 carat gold, struck three hundred years after his birth.
Franklin was born in Boston on 17 January 1706. He is the only man to have signed the Declaration of Independence, the Treaty of Alliance with France, the Treaty of Paris and the Constitution.
The Mint issued two designs for the tercentenary. This is the Founding Father dollar, designed by Don Everhart, showing Franklin as an older statesman with his signature below the bust. The reverse by Donna Weaver reproduces the Continental Currency dollar of 1776 with its sundial, the word Fugio and the motto Mind Your Business, a design Franklin himself is credited with.

Brilliant Uncirculated and sealed in its acrylic capsule. The fields are bright, the relief is crisp and the gilding is unworn. Photographed in the capsule and again lifted out digitally so both faces can be seen clearly.
