Platinum old cut diamond bombé ring, a cluster of four larger old cut diamonds at the top of a dome paved with smaller old and single cut diamonds.
The four principal stones are old mine and old European cuts, set close together at the crown, with the pavé running down the dome in star engraved and grain settings. The collets are open beneath, so light enters the stones from below. The shank is plain, polished and tapering.
The domed bombé form was one of the defining shapes of the cocktail ring in the 1940s and 1950s.
