18KT Gold Ruby, Diamond and Emerald Frog Clip Earrings

Pair of Italian 18KT gold ruby, diamond and emerald frog clip earrings, each frog pavé set with rubies on the back and diamonds on the head and legs, with cabochon emerald eyes.

Each frog sits upright with its front legs braced and its webbed back feet splayed in polished gold. The domed back is closely pavé set with round rubies, 24 to each earring, while round diamonds cover the head, the shoulders and the haunches, and two small cabochon emeralds are set high on the head as eyes.

They are fitted with clip backs and are struck with the 750 fineness mark for 18 carat gold and the Italian star maker's mark 963 MI, a Milan registration.
