Egyptian Revival Scarab Necklace, 18KT Gold, Early 20th Century
An early 20th-century Egyptian Revival necklace crafted in hallmarked 18ct gold, centred by a winged scarab pendant. The scarab is carved from green hardstone or turquoise, displaying natural veining and period hand-carved detail. Finely engraved gold wings are set with rose-cut diamonds, framing the central motif.
The pendant is accented above by a vivid rubellite (pink tourmaline) in a claw setting, and below by a cabochon turquoise drop. The necklace is suspended from a fine 18ct gold chain and finished with a turquoise-set sliding element, allowing for elegant adjustment on the neckline.
