Victorian Rose Cut Diamond Two-Stone Ring, Gold & Silver

£250.00

A Victorian two-stone ring, the pair of principal rose-cut diamonds set side by side in silver-topped collets and framed by a border of smaller rose cuts.

Rose cuts are flat-backed and faceted only on the dome, so they hold light rather than throwing it, giving a softer, candlelit glitter quite unlike a modern brilliant. Silver-topped gold is the standard Victorian construction: silver at the front to flatter the stones, gold behind for strength.
