A Victorian floral spray brooch, the curving gold stems terminating in individually claw-set coloured stones: two amethysts in soft lilac and five green tourmalines in olive and yellow-green, with rose cut diamonds set in silver along the lower calyx.
The naturalistic spray was the great Victorian brooch form, the stems bend at different angles, the stones vary in size and tone, and the whole thing reads like a cut sprig rather than a designed object.
