An impressive platinum cocktail ring set with a very large oval cabochon natural ruby of 19.15 carats, of Burmese origin, framed by round brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds. The ruby displays a rich pinkish-red colour and a smooth, glowing cabochon surface.
According to the accompanying World Gemological Institute report, the ruby is natural corundum of Myanmar (Burma) origin with no indication of heating (clarity enhancement by oil, F3), measuring 17.07 x 13.09 x 7.95 mm. The twenty-four surrounding diamonds total 1.55 carats, of G–H colour and VS2–SI2 clarity. The ring is stamped 950 platinum.
