A Mikimoto double strand cultured pearl bracelet, the two rows of 6 mm pearls gathered at the centre by a diamond set bar and closed with a diamond set 18KT white gold clasp. Supplied in its original Mikimoto box.
The clasp is worked as a pair of interlocking geometric loops, pavé set with brilliant cut diamonds and made to sit on the top of the wrist as the feature of the piece rather than hidden underneath. A second diamond set bar spaces the two strands at the centre so the rows stay parallel.
The pearls are well matched for size, round and clean skinned, with the rose and silver overtones and the deep lustre that Mikimoto selects for. Kokichi Mikimoto patented the process for culturing whole round pearls in 1916 and the house has set the standard for cultured pearl quality ever since.
The clasp is struck M LTD with the 750 standard mark for 18KT gold, and the centre bar carries the Mikimoto encircled M with K18 and 0.06.
