Chopard Happy Diamonds pendant necklace in 18KT white gold, the diamond set heart held behind a sapphire crystal within a polished circular case, on the original Chopard wheat link chain.
Chopard introduced Happy Diamonds in 1976 after the designer Ronald Kurowski watched sunlight break across a waterfall and proposed diamonds that were not fixed down but left free to move. The stones run loose between two crystals, so the piece catches light as the wearer moves rather than only when still.
The heart is outlined in brilliant cut diamonds and set within the crystal chamber, the case rim left plain and highly polished so nothing competes with it. The chain is a close woven wheat link fitted with a signed bar plaque.
Signed Chopard and struck 750 for 18KT gold, with the Swiss control marks and the reference and serial numbers. Supplied in its original Chopard Geneve box.
