The tourmaline is a rectangular cushion with softly rounded corners, a mixed cut with a faceted pavilion that throws the colour back through the table. It is held in four claws on a polished oval plaque with a raised bar either side, and a diamond in a white collet sits above and below it. Underneath, an open wirework gallery lets light into the stone. The shank is broad at the shoulders and tapers to the back, stamped 585.
