How we calculate what we pay per gram
We use the live gold market in British pounds, your item's carat (purity), and our published payout to arrive at the rate per gram shown in the table and calculator. Carat reflects how much of the alloy is gold: 9ct is 37.5% gold content, 18ct is 75%, and so on. After we receive your gold, we weigh it and check purity with XRF — your firm offer follows that test.
