Dunhill 9KT Gold Rollagas Lighter and Cigar Holder, London 1965, in Fitted Case
Dunhill 9KT gold Rollagas lighter, hallmarked London 1965, with a matching 9KT gold cigar holder, the pair in their original Dunhill fitted case.
The lighter is solid 9KT gold throughout, engine turned all over in Dunhill's barley pattern, a fine wave of cut lines that catches the light and hides the marks of daily use. The Rollagas, introduced by Dunhill in 1956, lights with a single roll of the thumb along the top edge, lifting the cap and turning the wheel in one movement. The base carries the Alfred Dunhill sponsor's mark AD in a lozenge, the 9 and 375 standard marks, the London leopard's head and the date letter k for 1965, with dunhill LONDON engraved beside the gas valve.
The holder is engine turned to match, a 9KT gold barrel with a mottled amber brown mouthpiece, marked R&R with 9 and 375. Both pieces sit in their red leather Dunhill case, fitted in red velvet, the cream satin lid printed with the Royal Warrant and the dunhill name.
