The exterior is centred with a carved jadeite plaque, framed by twenty rose-cut diamonds in geometric settings. Two carved jadeite cabochons, each accented with a bezel-set rose-cut diamond, serve as push-buttons for the refined spring-hinged opening mechanism a signature Cartier innovation of the early 20th century.
