The brooch is pavé-set with approximately 116 old mine and old European cut diamonds, all hand-cut, giving a lively and romantic sparkle. The diamonds vary in size, with larger stones set prominently in the flower centres and smaller diamonds detailing the leaves, buds, and stem. The total estimated diamond weight is approximately 8.98 carats, with clarity ranging from SI1 to I1 and colour grades H–J, typical of period stones.
The floral motif, complete with a central tremblant spray and naturalistic detail, showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Victorian high jewellery. The reverse is fitted with a classic Victorian hinged pin and tubular clasp for secure wear. Also visible is a finely crafted tremblant spring mechanism.
