Edwardian Silver and Gold Pink Sapphire and Diamond Insect Brooch

An elegant Edwardian brooch intricately modelled with openwork wings and fine detailing, pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. At the centre, a richly hued oval-cut pink sapphire is claw-set in a rub-over mount, displaying vivid rose-pink tones. The reverse is fitted with a sturdy hinged pin and C-clasp, with hand-pierced settings and an open gallery to enhance brilliance.
