Kutchinsky 18kt Yellow Gold, Ruby and Diamond Belt Bracelet, London, 1961

A bold and intricately designed 18 karat yellow gold bracelet by Kutchinsky, crafted in the form of a belt with flexible woven chevron mesh links. The central buckle motif is pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds and round faceted rubies arranged in floral clusters, continuing onto the tongue and loop of the belt. The belt-end terminals are finished with sculptural ribbed gold accents.

The bracelet is adjustable to two sizes, small and large.

Set with seven round brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.56 carats, of VS1 clarity and G–H colour. Accented by forty-three round faceted rubies, estimated to weigh approximately 1.30 carats combined. Ruby treatment is not indicated.

The reverse of the clasp bears clear London hallmarks for 18 karat gold, date letter for 1961, and maker’s mark KLD for Kutchinsky Ltd.
