An original vintage pocket-watch presentation box by Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, dating to approximately the mid-20th century.
The rectangular case is covered in black leather with decorative gilt tooling around the perimeter and a small push-button fastening. It opens to reveal a cream satin-lined lid bearing the gilt inscription:

The black velvet base has a circular recessed watch compartment with an additional shaped section above for the pendant, crown and bow. The fitted design is suitable for a traditional open-face or hunter-cased Patek Philippe pocket watch.
The earlier “Patek Philippe & Cie” form of the company signature appears extensively on historic Patek Philippe watches and associated presentation pieces.

Condition :
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The black leather exterior displays light rubbing and surface impressions, with some wear to the gilt border. The cream satin lining has scattered marks, small indentations and light discolouration. The black velvet base shows impressions and compression from previous use. The Patek Philippe branding remains clearly visible.
