Vintage David Webb presentation box in black suede, signed David Webb Inc. New York to the silk lid, retaining its printed outer card box.
David Webb built his reputation in New York on bold enamelled animal jewels, and his cases were made to match: a deep square suede box with a domed lid, lined throughout in black, and an outer card sleeve printed all over with the house monogram. The base is a plain velvet pad, so the case takes earrings, a bracelet or a brooch equally well.
