Rare Antique Cartier Art Deco Green Leather Jewellery Box, Circa 1920s
A rare antique Cartier presentation box from the Art Deco period, circa 1920s. Octagonal form in green leather with finely tooled gilt scrolling border to the lid, satin lined interior printed with the Cartier retailer mark, fitted to accommodate a pendant, brooch or similar small jewellery item.
Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier and holds Royal Warrants from multiple European royal courts. An original 1920s Cartier Art Deco green leather presentation box is a rare and desirable collectors piece, of strong appeal to collectors of Cartier and high Art Deco jewellery.
