Antique W. Hetter St Austell Cufflink Box
An early-20th-century cufflink presentation box retailed by W. Hetter, Jeweller, St Austell.
The rectangular case is covered in deep burgundy leather with a gilt border and metal push-button fastening. It opens to reveal a cream satin-lined lid bearing the retailer’s name in gilt lettering.
The lower section is lined in rich burgundy velvet and has two shaped fitted positions for a pair of cufflinks. The box could also accommodate small shirt studs, dress buttons or a compact gentleman’s dress set.

Exterior: 7.4 x 4.5 cm
Cufflink capacity: Each fitted position accommodates a cufflink approximately 2cm wide
Condition :
Good antique condition overall with age-related wear. The burgundy exterior shows scattered scuffs, rubbing and small surface losses. The cream satin lining has discolouration and creasing. The velvet base shows impressions, lint and wear from previous use. The gilt retailer’s inscription remains clearly visible.
