Silver-plated items (EPNS, SP) are mostly base metal with a thin coating. Payouts are very low. Check for "925" or "Sterling" marks to confirm solid silver. We can still assess plated items honestly — just expect modest numbers.
Same-day payment for in-person appointments. Postal valuations: typically 24-48 hours via bank transfer once items are received and inspected.
Sterling is 92.5% pure (marked 925) — most jewellery and cutlery. Fine silver is 99.9% pure (marked 999) — bullion coins and bars. Both have scrap value based on weight and purity.
