Victorian natural pearl and diamond brooch pendant, a large central pearl within a diamond border, framed by openwork scrolls and flower heads in silver settings over gold.
The frame is pierced throughout so the whole panel reads as lace rather than as a solid plate, with scrolling volutes to each side and a flower head at the foot and at the crest. It is fitted both with a brooch pin and with a pendant loop, so it can be worn at the shoulder or hung from a chain.
