Kokichi Mikimoto patented the culturing of whole round pearls in 1916 and the house has selected to its own standard ever since. The pearls here are well matched for size, round and clean skinned, with the deep lustre Mikimoto grades for.
The clasp is worked as a diamond set panel intended to sit on the top of the wrist or at the front of the throat as a feature rather than be hidden behind. Struck with the Mikimoto mark and 750 for 18KT gold. Supplied in its original box.
