Art Deco style platinum ring, the square cut sapphire of 1.05 ct set within a diamond quatrefoil plaque.
The centre stone is square cut rather than oval, which is the harder choice: a square table shows every inclusion and leaves the corners exposed, so it is only used where the stone will carry it. It is rub over set in a plain platinum collet at the centre of a quatrefoil plaque, the four lobes pave set with diamonds and outlined in milgrain, with further diamonds at the shoulders.
