Art Deco style platinum ring, the oval plaque set with an oval sapphire of 1.10 ct within a field of white and champagne diamonds, with calibre cut sapphire points above and below.
An oval sapphire is collet set at the centre of an upright oval plaque. Above and below it sit triangular panels of calibre cut sapphire that point in toward the stone, and the rest of the field is set with diamonds, some white and some a warm champagne. Mixing the two colours is deliberate: the champagne stones warm the platinum and stop the setting reading as a flat white ground.
