A round brilliant cut diamond of 0.52 ct is rub over set at the centre, and around it calibre cut sapphires are shaped into a pointed star, each stone cut to its own place so the blue runs unbroken from point to point with no metal showing between. Smaller diamonds mark the star's tips and run down the shoulders. It is the only ring in the parcel with a diamond rather than a coloured stone at the centre, and the sapphire star reverses the usual arrangement of the group.
