Art Deco style platinum ring, the oval Ceylon sapphire centre within a double flowerhead of diamonds set in scalloped petals.
An oval sapphire of clean cornflower blue is rub over set at the centre, and around it two rings of diamonds are set in scalloped petals, the inner ring close to the collet and the outer ring stepped slightly above it so the flowerhead opens outward. Each petal is outlined in milgrain, and the shoulders carry further diamonds. The report names the origin as Sri Lanka, still traded under its older name of Ceylon for sapphire.
