Art Deco style platinum ring, the oval Mozambique ruby of 0.90 ct at the centre of a quatrefoil of pear cut rubies within a diamond framed plaque.
An oval ruby is collet set at the centre and four pear cut rubies radiate from it, one to each point of a quatrefoil, each in its own milgrain collet. The ground between them is laid with calibre cut rubies so the red runs unbroken across the plaque, and diamond set scrolls fill the four corners with a diamond border running round the shaped outline. Pear cuts set as a cross is a harder arrangement than calibre alone, since all four stones must match in colour and in shape.
