An oval ruby is collet set at the centre of an upright oval plaque and surrounded by calibre cut rubies laid in stepped panels that follow the outline, so the red carries the whole plaque rather than sitting as a single point of colour. Diamonds mark the four quarters and run down the shoulders in a narrow line. The centre stone at 0.81 ct is the largest ruby of the Mozambique group.
