'You and me': two stones entwined as one.

A toi et moi ring (French for 'you and me') sets two stones side by side or crossing over, two souls entwined. One of the most romantic of all ring styles.

What is a toi et moi ring?

A toi et moi ring features two main stones, often of different shapes or colours, set close together or in a crossover. The two gems symbolise two people joined as one.

A romantic history

Napoléon Bonaparte gave Joséphine a toi et moi with a sapphire and a diamond in 1796; the style later reappeared on famous 20th-century engagements. It is enjoying a strong modern revival.

Stone pairings

Pair two diamonds, or contrast a diamond with a sapphire, emerald or ruby. Antique crossover rings often use old-cut diamonds.
