Vintage Hancock & Co Brooch Presentation Box, Mid 20th Century

£185.00

A vintage jewellery presentation box by Hancock & Co, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, dating to the mid 20th century. The box features a deep burgundy leatherette exterior with fine gilt tooling to the edges and retains its original push-button clasp.

The interior opens to a padded velvet base with a silk-lined lid, stamped in gilt with the retailer’s mark: “By Appointment to H.M. The Queen – Goldsmiths & Silversmiths – Hancocks & Co, 1 Burlington Gardens, London W1”. The internal pad is shaped for a brooch or similarly sized piece of jewellery, making it well suited as an original presentation or replacement brooch box.

A refined and authentic example from one of Britain’s most respected historic jewellers, ideal for display, storage, or pairing with antique and vintage jewellery.

Dimensions
8.9 × 4.2 × 2.3 cm (length × width × height)

Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age. Light wear to the leather exterior and interior lining. A small original sticker remains affixed to the underside. This has been left in place, as removal would risk tearing or damaging the leather covering.
