Patek Philippe Nautilus Ladies Diamond Watch, Steel & 18KT Gold, Ref. 4700/62JA-015

£19,950.00

A ladies Patek Philippe Nautilus in stainless steel and 18KT yellow gold, reference 4700/62JA-015, supplied with its original Certificate of Origin, document wallet and booklets.

The Nautilus was drawn by Gérald Genta in 1976 and reference 4700 is the smallest of the family. The rounded octagonal case keeps the porthole profile and the hinged ears to either side, and the bracelet runs straight out of the case in alternating steel and gold links. At 25 mm across it wears as a dress watch.

The bezel is set with diamonds and the dial carries diamond hour markers, with a date aperture at 3 o'clock and gold baton hands. The Certificate of Origin records 56 single cut diamonds totalling 0.21 ct.

One point to note on the dial. The Certificate of Origin describes it as NOIR, HEURES DIAMANTS, that is black with diamond hour markers, which is how the watch left Geneva. It now carries a lighter champagne dial, changed by Patek Philippe for a previous owner. The diamond hour markers are as originally specified, and the paperwork is supplied so the change can be seen for what it is.
