A fine cased set of five antique Georgian silver-gilt fruit spoons, comprising four spoons and a sifter spoon. Each spoon is ornately hand-engraved with cross-hatch and floral motifs along the handles, terminating in bowls richly decorated in relief with clusters of berries and foliage. The bowls are internally parcel-gilt, enhancing the fruit design. The sifter spoon features pierced floral and fruit detail. Housed in fitted leather case with velvet and silk interior and a silver plaque engraved: "Martha Wells, from E. W., June 22nd 1867."
