Antique 16th Century 20kt Gold Ring with Ruby and Enamel (Lithuanian-Polish)

A rare surviving example from the mid-to-late 16th century, this PolandLithuania Commonwealth ring is crafted in high-purity 20-karat gold and features remnants of its original enamel. At the centre sits a hand-cut natural ruby, set within an ornate sculptural gold mount characteristic of early Renaissance craftsmanship. Lightweight, delicate, and historically significant, this is an exceptional museum-level jewel.

A genuine 16th century ring crafted in 20kt gold, decorated with blue and white enamel traces and set with a square-cut natural ruby at the centre. The decorative gold work features floral and foliate forms typical of Eastern European Renaissance jewellery.
