The 1885-O Morgan Dollar, struck at the New Orleans Mint, is a classic example of one of Americas most iconic silver coins. First issued in 1878, Morgan Dollars circulated widely during the Wild West era, often associated with saloons, frontier trade, and expansion-era America.

Designed by George T. Morgan, an English engraver who became Chief Engraver of the US Mint, the coin features Libertys portrait on the obverse and a heraldic eagle on the reverse. The O mintmark identifies this coin as originating from the New Orleans Mint.
